TriVentures II Fund, L.P. (the “Fund”, “TriVentures” or "TV II") is a venture capital fund focusing on investing, developing and transitioning early stage medical technology opportunities into successful exits. The Fund will invest primarily in Israeli and Israeli-related medical device companies. The Fund will focus on medical technologies in medical fields with clear unmet clinical and industrial needs. Key Contacts - Peter Fitzgerald: Dr. Fitzgerald contributes clinical and engineering skills, along with 20 years of medical device start-up experience to the Fund as a Founding Partner & General Partner while maintaining his full duties as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford. Dr. Fitzgerald has an MD and serves as the Co-Director of the Interventional Cardiology Research Laboratory at Stanford Medical School. He has led or participated in numerous clinical trials for new medical devices and in addition to serving on numerous top tier medical device company boards, he serves on the FDA Medical Device Advisory Panel. Dr. Fitzgerald also has a PhD in biomedical engineering and has advised dozens of medical device start-ups and multinational healthcare companies in the design and development of new devices, diagnostics and therapies in cardiology, orthopedics, pulmonary disease, and other areas. Dr. Fitzgerald was a member of the founding team of a dozen medical device start-ups and transitioned nine to large medical device companies. - Marty Leon: Dr. Martin Leon is the Chairman Emeritus and Founder of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and the Associate Director of the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy (CIVT) at Columbia University Medical Center. He is also a practicing interventional cardiologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Leon has co-authored over 1,500 publications, has performed over 10,000 interventional procedures, and has pioneered numerous areas of interventional vascular therapy. He is the Founder and Director of Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT), the largest dedicated meeting in interventional vascular therapy in the world. Dr. Leon is the co-founder of Accelerated Technologies Inc. (ATI), a NYC-based medical device accelerator, and the co-founder and chief medical officer (CMO) of Accelerated Technology Partners (ATP), a newly formed venture fund focusing on innovative bio-medical technologies. - Michal Geva: Mrs. Geva has over a decade of extensive hands-on experience in Israeli and American medical device companies, including: ByPass, a developer of a cardiovascular anastomotic device, which collaborated with healthcare giant Ethicon (Johnson & Johnson), AST, a developer of a stent and stent delivery system, which was acquired by medical technology stalwart Boston Scientific and GI View, a developer of advanced endoscope technologies for the GI tract.
